The Activate Project provides the opportunity for young people to have a voice and make changes in the place they live - Holme Wood. The project is run through an informal partnership of St Christopher's Youth Project and the Salvation Army, along with the Holme Wood Community Council. Activate aims to help young people play a more active role in their community.

As well as helping enable this website, Activate has printed and distributed leaflets to the whole of Holme Wood with information about young people's views and opportunities, and run a grants scheme where small groups could benefit from a small grant to spend on equipment or activities.

Last year Activate gave away £7500 to the young people of Holmewood through various youth organisations and schools for the benefit of Holme Wood's young people. And with the help of this website Activate is hoping to run a similar grants scheme later this year and continue to support the young people of Holme Wood in the future.
